The List - Countdown begins and time starts to run out

WOW ... so much to do ... spent yesterday running around doing doctors appointments and errands ... from meeting with suppliers for charging systems to water maker decisions ... oh this cruising is so stressful. Working on getting the boat dry ... and getting out the cottage cruising stuff and in with the necessities. Picked up the Genoa after restitching required on the sunbrella ... and the continued project with us restitching seams on the Bimini and Dodger ... we will get there ... if not we will leave anyway.

With efforts in reducing the stuff aboard ... we hope to be a raised the water line and some additional storage spaces around the boat. We have seen two boats leave from the Marina in the last week or so and get more and more anxious with each departure. I guess this is good and a little envious that they are that ready to leave. Hope to see them on our respective travels where ever we end up.

This weekend will be the South Side Shuffle in Port Credit which promises to be a great time with a whole bunch of great bands at the various venues ... so with getting some things off the list and listening to some great music ... should be a great weekend of fun and frolicking.

  1. Hi guys, Hope the trip has begun well and winds and weather are both favourable. M&B left yesterday late afternoon and have arrived home safely. They really appreciated the bag of birthday goodies that you left for them. G loves the CD and appreciated your remembering his day. We picked up the new car in the morning, so all in all an exciting day. Went for a bit of a wild sail the day we left...B was OK, but M a little nervous...by the time we were back in port, white caps all over and I wouldn't have gone out unless needed to for an emergency. Had high winds and driving rain for the drive back. (Tues. Sept 18)
I can imagine you both aboard and hope there's another crew to help with locks, if needed. Will check the blog for news. xo R
