Here is the Famous Bronze Statue: The Waving Girl, Flora Martus
(She lived on Elba Isle near Savannah, in the early 1900s. She, her brother and her father were the lighthouse keepers there.

Flora loved watching the ships pass back and forth, but the life of a lighthouse keeper is a lonely one. Her father comforted her with the idea that she would always be a light for others. For more that 60 years, Flora Martus happily waved to the passing ships, which her nearest neighbours.

It became a tradition for passing ships to honk their horns or blow their whistles at the girl and then she waving from the lighthouse. For Flora 70 birthday, Savannah honored its beloved waving girl by throwing a party for 3000 people. A bronze statue in her honor was erected on the south end of River Street, in 1971. Spend a day touring in Georgia-Brunswick-The Golden Isles (we visited Jekyll Island and St.Simons Island)

We are amazed by the forest...big big trees..

It's about 48 m from Fernandina Beach to Georgia. It is a state located in the southeastern United States. In the 1500s, the Spanish arrived, their soldiers seeking gold, their missionaries seeking religious converts among the Native Americans.

Georgia was established in 1732, the last of the original Thirteen Colonies. It is named after King George II, of Great Britain. Georgia is bordered on the south by Florida; on the east by the Atlantic Ocean and South Carolina; on the west by Alabama; and on the north by Tennessee and North Carolina.

In Memory of our beloved cat: "Morning"

Brian, our friend who is taking care our house and our cats, called us yesterday to let us know that our beloved cat Morning passed away.......
He went in peace while sun bathing in front patio (his favourite spot).

You are always in our heart..we love you Morning!!!

We can't have plant in the house which has leaf shaped long and skinny like grass..Morning will have fun to chew it..

Our memory goes back years ago, on 1997...a cat came to meow at our bedroom window at night. This is happened again the next night and the next night..until one night we put milk outside..and guess what ..that cat became our regular visitor and never left our house anymore..since that cat is black and came at night so we named that cat: Midnight.

Few months after that..there was another cat showed up at our deck every morning...and soon enough became our permanent visitor in the back yard, we called this one Morning.

Midnight, Morning and Emma (passed away 5 years ago) loved sitting in our family room, while we were watching TV

Another cat came few years after, we named that cat Zimba, but 2 years ago disappeared and never came back.

Morning's friend came to visit

Morning's enemies

Morning loves the garden

Midnight is a snoopy cat

Midnight lost her 13 years friend...

Both Midnight and Morning love the garden
